Inside An Everpure Water Filter Cartridge

Home water filtration systems are the perfect way to ensure that your drinking water is clean and safe. The effective and easy to use water filtration systems from Everpure have become one of the leaders in the industry of home and commercial water filtration. The key to the success of these systems is their Everpure Water Filter Cartridges. These cartridges are not only excellent at reducing levels of waterborne contaminants, but they are also extremely easy to install and change.

All of the Everpure water filter cartridges feature a cylindrical metal design. The insides of these cartridges are specially lined so your drinking water is never exposed to the metal itself. The cartridges use different internal layouts of their filter media, the pleated filter, and the carbon block filter. All of these filters use Everpure’s proprietary Micro-Pure filter media to filter out particles as small as 0.5 microns, or roughly 1/100th the width of a human hair.

The first design, used in several popular home systems like the H300, its the pleated filter design. The internal filter media is arranged in a pleated loop in order to maximize the surface area of the media. This helps ensure that water can pass through the cartridge quickly, while also making sure it encounters that filter media for long enough to reduce any harmful contaminants. All Everpure cartridges also include a bacteriostatic component, which prevents bacteria from multiplying within the cartridge over time.

Some of the Everpure systems, like the PBS400, use a carbon block style filter cartridge. These Everpure water filter cartridges contain a large internal block of fused activate carbon. This material, which is used in almost all water filtration systems, has an incredibly high surface area on the microscopic level. Two grams of activated carbon, which could fit easily in the palm of your hand, has more surface area than an entire football field. The carbon block in these filter cartridges is porous, allowing the carbon to filter the water as it passes through. This results in extremely clean water and a long cartridge lifespan.

No matter which Everpure water filter system you choose for your home, installing water filter replacements is incredibly simple. You will know you are in need of a replacement filter when the flow rate of the system decreases or it has been a year since you installed your cartridge. The process of installing your replacement cartridge is as simple as changing a lightbulb. Because of the standard screw-in connector on most Everpure filter heads, you can often use different cartridge styles on the same system.
